You are not a procrastinator, you just lack motivation and it’s okay.
Finally, a few minutes to midnight
it feels like another wasted day
many things ventured, nothing gained
my checklist feels abandoned
diluted in waters of procrastination
It started with a book on my table,
stared passively at its first pages
then picked up my black pen
if reading fails, writing will do
but nothing came through…
Here I am, a few minutes past midnight
deeply thinking of ways to makeup
for a day that seemed so fruitful at first
but ended up dry and blown away
like fallen leaves on a windy day.
It’s day two of my 30-day challenge. Inspiration fled. But my goal is 30 poems per day, and that I will achieve; even if it means writing about my dry day.
Thanks for reading.
